Pastoral Ministry

Class in progress at the marianella centre

  • September 16 - December 13 2007
  • UPDATE / SEPTEMBER 2007
  • ALL COURSES AT MARIANELLA TO CLOSE AS FROM FEBRUARY 2008

Marianella’s three-month renewal programmes offered the best of contemporary Catholic scholarship in ways that were both personally enriching and pastorally useful.

The Programmes were designed for priests, religious and lay ministers who were seeking a sabbatical experience that promoted personal renewal, theological updating and the development of pastoral skills.

**********AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE********

In July 2007 the Irish Provincial of the Redemptorists, together with his Council, decided to close the Marianella Pastoral Centre, as of the first week of February, 2008.

We are enormously grateful to God and to so many men and women, who have been part of Marianella at some stage over the past 30 years, for the many blessings of these years in our Pastoral Centre.  The decision taken hinged very much on the decline in numbers over the past two years of those attending the Spring and Autumn sabbatical programmes.

We share in the sense of loss that many feel.  We also are grateful for so many good years!
